Chip Carving Basics with Daniel Clay

In this introductory class to chip carving students will learn the basics of the Swiss chip carving technique including standard knife grips, body mechanics and safety, carving basic chip shapes, and knife geometry and sharpening concepts. Swiss chip carving knives will be provided for use during the class. No prior experience is necessary. All students will be provides with practice boards and one beginning project.
