Chip carving is a decorative form of wood carving.  The emphasis with this chip carving class will be for carvers to learn some chip carving skills that can be applied to decorate spoons, bowls, cups, plates, or other projects they are interested in. Topics we will cover include: types of knives and sharpening, wood preparation, pattern application, chip carving techniques of different basic cuts, safety, finishing.
