Carrying your own “pocket spoon” is a great way to reduce your plastic consumption. Eating spoons are more difficult than cooking spoons, this class is for advanced beginners to intermediate level carvers. Proper crank and bowl shape is necessary for a pleasing mouthfeel for the user and takes experience and practice. In this class, varied knife grips and strokes will be reinforced. Bring a carving hatchet, hook knife and a sloyd carving knife if you have them.

Spoon blanks will be available for beginners who don’t want to do the axe work for a $10 fee, material fees should be paid directly to the instructor.
