Spoon Carving with Roy Rocke and Don Nalezyty

Beginning with a cherry log, we will proceed through all of the steps to discover and liberate the spoons imprisoned within it. Tools used will include a froe, hand-axe, bow saw, chisel, brace and bit, draw knife, crook knife, sloyd knife, and perhaps a palm gouge. The quality and complexity of the finished product will depend on your familiarity and dexterity with the tools, resulting in a variety of outcomes among the individual students.
